About this painting
"Charing Cross Bridge" refers to a series of oil paintings Claude Monet made of the London bridge between 1899 and 1905, comprising 34 known works. Monet began the canvases during stays in London and completed many later in his studio at Giverny, varying color and atmosphere to capture different light and weather over the Thames. Individual versions are held in museums including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Saint Louis Art Museum; which specific version this reproduction derives from could not be confirmed.
