As a rule of thumb, wall art should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture it hangs above (for example, over a 6 ft sofa, look for a piece 4-5 ft wide, or a grouped arrangement that adds up to that width).

About this painting
This work, catalogued as Corpus Hipercubus (also known as Crucifixion / Hypercubic Christ), is an oil on canvas painting by Salvador Dalí completed around 1954, measuring 194.4 x 123.9 cm. It depicts Christ crucified on the unfolded net of a four-dimensional hypercube, suspended above a chessboard-patterned ground at Port Lligat, with his face turned away and without a crown of thorns or visible wounds. The painting belongs to Dalí's 'nuclear mysticism' period, blending Catholic religious subject matter with scientific and mathematical imagery, and was donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York as a gift of the Chester Dale Collection in 1955.
