- Small / desk & shelf scale (around 12x24 to 16x24 inch): Great above a desk, nightstand, or as part of a gallery wall grouping with other pieces.

About this painting
On White II (Auf Weiss II) is an oil-on-canvas painting Kandinsky completed between February and April 1923, preceded by a watercolor study made in December 1922. The composition arranges diagonal geometric forms - lines, circles, triangles, and a central trapezoid - against a white ground, creating an impression of shapes floating weightlessly in space. It originally hung in the dining room of Kandinsky's apartment at the Bauhaus in Dessau and was donated to the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris in 1976 by his widow, Nina Kandinsky.
