- Small / desk & shelf scale (around 12x24 to 16x24 inch): Great above a desk, nightstand, or as part of a gallery wall grouping with other pieces.

As a rule of thumb, wall art should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture it hangs above (for example, over a 6 ft sofa, look for a piece 4-5 ft wide, or a grouped arrangement that adds up to that width).

About this painting
Woman and Dog in Front of the Moon (Femme et chien devant la lune) is a Joan Miró composition of 1935, published as a pochoir print in 1936 in an edition of 60, and held in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. It was created as a benefit print for an artists' association in Barcelona and depicts what MoMA describes as 'a symbolic family group' responding in terror to a monstrous head, reflecting Miró's distress over the Spanish Civil War and the rise of Francisco Franco. MoMA's impression, numbered 57/60, has been shown in exhibitions including 'Artists & Prints: Masterworks from The Museum of Modern Art, Part 1' (2004-2005).
